Eligibility

You must participate in Scholars Day to be considered for the Wayne State Scholarship. Scholars Day for incoming Wayne State freshmen is a series of invitation-only events during which the Irvin D. Reid Honors College recruits its freshman class from the university’s most promising first-year applicants.

To be considered for an invitation to Scholars Day, you must be admitted to WSU by January 15 of your senior year in high school.

We encourage you to submit an application for admission and all required materials by December 15, to ensure an admission decision by the January 15 deadline.

Scholarship awards are effective for the 2012-2013 academic year. Wayne State University offers and renews scholarships at its sole and absolute discretion; offers and renewals are contingent upon available funding and the continuation of the scholarship program. WSU students can receive only one Presidential Program scholarship. These include the University, Presidential, Gold, Green, Anthony Wayne and the WSU/DSO  scholarships. Students who have completed a bachelor's degree are not eligible for Presidential Program scholarships. Changes to a student's financial, housing or academic situation may result in adjustments to awards.
