Green Scholarship
The Green Scholarship is a $12,000 award - $3,000 per year for up to four years.
Students are eligible for the Green Scholarship based on their fall 2012 undergraduate application materials. A separate scholarship application is not needed. It is a guaranteed scholarship award for students who meet the qualifications below:
- Be admitted to Wayne State by January 15
- Meet minimum cumulative GPA and ACT composite score requirements at the time of admission.
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
Those students who are invited to and attend a WSU scholarship event are eligible for membership in the Irvin D. Reid Honors College or the Community of Scholars. They also are eligible to receive additional scholarships based on their academic credentials.
Once you are registered for classes at Wayne State, you must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student in order to receive funding. Full-time enrollment is 12 credit hours or more.
Scholarship awards are effective for the 2012-2013 academic year. Wayne State University offers and renews scholarships at its sole and absolute discretion; offers and renewals are contingent upon available funding and the continuation of the scholarship program. WSU students can receive only one Presidential Program scholarship. These include the University, Presidential, Gold, Green, Anthony Wayne and the WSU/DSO scholarships. Students who have completed a bachelor's degree are not eligible for Presidential Program scholarships. Changes to a student's financial, housing or academic situation may result in adjustments to awards.
