Gold Scholarship

The Gold Scholarship is a $16,000 award - $4,000 per year for up to four years. It is awarded to incoming freshmen each fall semester based on attendance at Scholars Day. Your academic record may qualify you for the Gold Scholarship.

Students are eligible for the Gold Scholarship based on their undergraduate application materials. A separate scholarship application is not needed. Eligible students are invited to participate in Scholars Day based on the following requirements:

You must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student in order to receive funding. Full-time enrollment is 12 credit hours or more.

Scholarship awards are effective for the 2012-2013 academic year. Wayne State University offers and renews scholarships at its sole and absolute discretion; offers and renewals are contingent upon available funding and the continuation of the scholarship program. WSU students can receive only one Presidential Program scholarship. These include the University, Presidential, Gold, Green, Anthony Wayne and the WSU/DSO  scholarships. Students who have completed a bachelor's degree are not eligible for Presidential Program scholarships. Changes to a student's financial, housing or academic situation may result in adjustments to awards.
