A national service program that provides the opportunity to earn money to help pay for post-secondary education in exchange for a year of community service.

Automotive Women’s Alliance Foundation
Annually awards several $2,500 scholarships to women who are pursuing careers directly related to the automotive industry such as engineering, marketing, sales, and finance. Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf
Awards scholarships to pre-lingual deaf or hard-of-hearing students who use speech and speech-reading to communicate, and who are attending or have been admitted to a college or university program that primarily enrolls students with normal hearing.

The Gates Millennium Scholars Program
Administered by the United Negro College Fund, the program provides scholarships and fellowships for outstanding low-income African American, Native American, Hispanic American, and Asian American students to attend the undergraduate and graduate institutions of their choice. Provides three scholarships to Michigan students annually to encourage to encourage learning about German business, life and culture by living and working in Germany.
Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation
Offers one-year undergraduate scholarships for the children of active duty, reserve, or former U.S. Marines.
Students can apply for approximately $2.3 million in scholarships from this charitable organization, which is sponsored by Sallie Mae.

The National Hispanic Press Foundation 2005 Hispanic Scholarship Directory provides information about scholarship opportunities, including more than 1,000 ways to finance education.
This scholarship program is a component of the Community Foundation for Southeastern Michigan. Applicants must be single mothers who are residents of Wayne, Oakland or Macomb counties and attend or will attend Wayne State University, any campus of the University of Michigan, or Catholic University Law School in Washington, D.C. Not more than four nonrenewable awards of $2,000 are offered annually. Download the application from the Foundation Web site. The 2007-2008 application deadline is May 1, 2007.
