Anthony Wayne Out-of-State Scholarship

The Anthony Wayne Out-of-State Transfer Scholarship is an $18,000 award* (up to $9,000 per year for a maximum of two years) plus free on-campus room and board in a double occupancy room for up to two years. The scholarship is for incoming non-resident transfer students.**

Eligible incoming community college students must meet minimum cumulative grade-point average requirements and 36 transferable credits from all schools attended. Additionally, you must be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident  to be eligible for the Anthony Wayne Out-of-State Scholarship.

This scholarship offers tuition support and is renewable on an annual basis for up to two years. Renewal of the Anthony Wayne Out-of-State Scholarship is contingent upon maintaining academic performance as follows:

Incoming transfer students are reviewed for the Anthony Wayne Out-of-State Scholarship based on their undergraduate application materials and do not need to submit a separate application for the scholarship.

**Students who qualify for the Good Neighbor Policy, which provides Michigan in-state tuition rates, in Ohio and Canada are not eligible for the Anthony Wayne Out-of-State Scholarship.

Wayne State University offers and renews scholarships at its sole and absolute discretion; offers and renewals are contingent upon available funding and the continuation of the scholarship program. WSU students can receive only one Presidential Program scholarship. These include the University, Presidential, Gold, Green, Anthony Wayne and the WSU/DSO scholarships. Students who have completed a bachelor's degree are not eligible for Presidential Program scholarships. Changes to a student's financial, housing or academic situation may result in adjustments to awards.
